Frank Lyons is a Senior Partner of the Humane Architecture Workshop. He gives direction and leadership to the practice and takes a leading role in project designs.

Frank graduated from Brighton University's School of Architecture having been awarded the RIBA Student Design Prize (RIBA President's Silver Medal) for his project for new Law Courts in Norwich. In 1983 Frank formed his first partnership, Lyons and Corney, before going on to set up his own practice in Plymouth (Frank Lyons Architects). Early in 2001 Frank Lyons Architects joined forces with Peter Skerrett to form the The Humane Architecture Workshop. Frank Lyons has won a number of awards for his work, some are listed below.

Frank was formerly Principal Lecturer and Director of Programmes at the University of Plymouth's School of Architecture. He taught the Zen Design Studio in the Graduate Diploma programme. In 1994 he created a Post-graduate Diploma course entitled "Humane Architecture". The ideas developed in this course have become the basic philosophy of The Humane Architecture Workshop. A respected academic, Frank continues to be invited to deliver lectures all over the world.
